Softability has long been a Microsoft partner in various competence areas: Gold Partner competence in Cloud Platform and Application Development, and Silver Partner competence in Windows and Devices. These competences indicate wide expertise in Microsoft technologies. Cooperation with Microsoft further deepened when Softability was selected in the Microsoft Mixed Reality Partner Program.
How do our customers benefit from this?
The Mixed Reality Partner Program (MRPP) is a Microsoft-supported program for partners who design, implement, and use Mixed Reality (MR) solutions. MRPP partners have successfully helped customers in many industries accelerate their digital transformation through different use cases such as training, assisted work (e.g., step-by-step work instructions for manufacturing or maintenance), remote support, and sales and marketing.
MR solutions are represented for example by Unity-based customized applications created for HoloLens 2 smart glasses and Microsoft Dynamics 365-based ready-made applications, such as Guides, deployed, created and customized for customers. Ready-made applications can be further customized by Power Apps platform and web applications, as well as take advantage of Power BI analytics. Utilizing Azure’s cloud services — Spatial Anchors, Object Anchors, and Remote Render — as part of an MR solution is also common.
In addition, the MRPP partnership allows you to apply for DMP (Distributor-managed Partner) membership. Among other things, DMP members are able to get HoloLens 2 smart glasses from Microsoft Authorized Device Distributors (ADD) and to package them into Mixed Reality solutions provided for their customers – in turnkey principle. The same applies to the resale of Microsoft Dynamics 365 offerings, such as Remote Assist, as part of the HoloLens 2 device sales. So the aim has been to make buying easy for customers.
To our customers, the MRPP partnership also ensures that we always have the latest information and the best technologies to use in their Mixed Reality projects. Here are some of the versatile Mixed Reality solutions we have implemented for our customers that leverage Microsoft HoloLens and HoloLens 2 smart glasses.
