Softability and Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College presented virtual learning environment together in European Vocational Skills Week at Helsinki Finlandia hall. In the event teaching operators around Europe were exploring how technology is utilized in education in Finland.

In the beginning of the year Softability created virtual learning environment with HoloLens application for Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College. The application guides and instructs user to complete different work stages. As a further development Softability created web based content editing tool for the HoloLens application, so Perho can change and add content into the application by themselves.

Softability developed a HoloLens application to showcase equipment for Perkin Elmer Wallac. HoloLens is eminently suitable for visualising large items of equipment, because it helps to show them virtually in 3D at the right size, regardless of location.

Softability designed a HoloLens application for Meyer Turku Oy. The solution enables the user to view the new Tallink Megastar ship virtually in the so-called mixed reality mode that blends the real environment and the digital world.

Softability undertook a Proof-of Concept project for Thermo Fisher Scientific, in which augmented reality was exploited in the control of the Varioskan™ LUX analysis and measuring device.

“Hololens is awesome but Vuzix is practical”. Both can provide text, images, 3D models, sound, voice recognition, augmented reality and gesture recognition (in a different manner). Bluetooth and wireless technology on both device offer connectivity with other devices and the Internet.
